I have heard many people say that Irish television is boring, mostly parochial affairs and current affairs. But not Pat Kennys Frontline, here is a rare occasion where one member of the audience has just had enough of hearing about the credit crisis and lets rip at Pat Kenny about his amount of earnings from RTE. This was during an interview with the Minister for Social Welfare, Mary Hanafin. They were discussing the latest cuts to Social Welfare.
If only he had took a deep breath before he went into his explosive rant, he could have calmed and articulated his argument clearer. One poster on an Irish forum commented that this incident was worth his TV licence fee alone.
Surprisingly, news reports about this have disappeared from the net, on a recent search in Google.
